Arthur L. Day Prize and Lectureship
Awarded to a scientist making lasting contributions to the study of the physics of the Earth and whose lectures will provide solid, timely, and useful additions to the knowledge and literature in the field. The recipient is awarded a $50,000 prize and funds to present a series of Day Lectures.
Lectures:
Lindy Elkins-Tanton, 2020 Arthur L. Day Prize and Lectureship recipient, presented the 2023 Day Lecture series "The NASA Psyche Mission: An Electric Journey to a Metal World" at The University of New Mexico and South Carolina State University.

Richard Lounsbery Award and Lecture Series
Given in alternate years by the National Academy of Sciences and the French Académie des Sciences, to young (no older than 45) French and American scientists to recognize extraordinary scientific achievement in biology and medicine. In addition to honoring scientific excellence, the award is intended to stimulate research and encourage reciprocal scientific exchanges between the United States and France. This $75,000 prize also provides funds for recipients to present a lecture on thier research at a institution of their choice.

Hopi Hoekstra, 2015 Richard Lounsbery Award recipient, presented the 2015 Lounsbery Lecture on "Digging for Genes That Affect Mammalian Behavior" at Smith College.
