I am Running for the US Senate Because
I am running because the
politicians in Washington are acting like spoiled two-year-old brats. I want to take all of them over my knee and give them a good
spanking. Demarcate and republican are not working for the good of the nation or district, they just want to tear down what the other side is building.
Democrats are fighting with Democrats and Republican are fighting with Republicans and nothing gets dome. The job of a Senator or Congressmen it to represent all the people in their state or district not just their political cronies.
During the Reagan and the Clinton presidency, they worked with the other side and got a compromise. Each side got something, and each side could live with what they gave up.
Senator Byrd of West Virginia was a democrat and a former Klan member. But he got the black vote as well as republican, because when he got federal funds for his state, he made sure everyone got a piece of the pie.
the opposing political party to get things done. It was not perfect, but it is better than what we have now.
There are three areas that politicians use to speak, but do nothing:
The first is “I have a plan”, but unless you elect them, they do not tell you the plan, and once you do elect them, they still do not tell you the plan. The second is they believe it is this or that, but do not tell you how to get there. The third is that some politicians only tear down what others try to build, but do not put up a solution or to build something themselves. They are afraid to put up an actual idea, for fear that the other politicians will do to their bill what they are doing to their opponent’s bill.
Not only show what the problem is, but what is a solution. Is this the final solution, no, it is the starting point? You are going to have to get a few hundred
Congressmen and Senators to agree, and there are bound to be some that change, add, or delete items in a bill. I will give proposals to cover both conservative and liberal points of view, not shaft it to the other side.
We need people that will work to improve the situation, not just give lip service.
Do you want a candidate that only representatives their political cronies, or do you want one that represents all the people in the state? If you want that they only serve the political cronies, then expect the other side to do the same thing when they gain power. Someday the other side will gain power.
I started working as a technician and in my spare time I went to college at Old Dominion University and received my Engineering degree. As an engineer, I got a job as a test engineer for the Department of Defense. The job of a test engineer is finding problems before the military gets the product. When the product did not perform as needed, I would find a way that the product could still be used, but it may involve some extra steps for the results. Different steps may be needed than what the instructions stated, but the manual can be changed. If the product can save our military lives, you want it out in service as fast as possible, even if there are issues with the product.
As your Senator I will ask the questions that need to be asked and get Maryland the fund it desperately needs.

If Democrats cannot get anything done with a Democrat overwhelming majority as they had in the Obama administration, how are they going to get things done with a Republican majority.

As a society, we have stopped finding ways to persuade one another. Instead, the Presidential election is the most important election of our lives. We all have opinions on these topics, but we have to live together. The constant escalation is not helping us to find our common ground.
